Hi Rocket Do you remember when.... ten pin bowling was a regular feature on Saturday afternoon television? I do - it was broadcast out of channels 2 and 4 in Buffalo, NY. Best Bob
I don't remember that Bob but I do remember Earl Anthony. My Mom and Dad were avid league bowlers back in the day. Another bowling show I remember; 'Bowling For Dollars'. It was a locally produced franchised series across the country (maybe Canada too?) where you tried to roll 3 strikes in a row for money. As a matter of fact my Dad appeared on it in 1970 or so and actually won 400 bucks! Ahhhh the 'go
I tried to type the 'good 'ol days' but unfortunately my computer is about to give up the ghost. (Certain keys; 'o' being the main one, are NOT wrking well anymre...see what I mean???
okay...I am NOT a mechanical, or hands on type of guy BUT I've just 'MacGuyver'ed my computer with some duct tape and paper clips and (fingers crossed) it seems to be working...
Now you mention it, I DO remember bowling for dollars. My dad bowled five pin in a company league back in the 40s and 50s. Five pin was more popular here in Canada than ten pin.

Musta been before Earl Anthony, because he was a staple of bowling on TV, with his black rim glasses and flat top.
