1937 MODERN MECHANIX MAGAZINE COVER

  1. Man! Isn't that a GREAT cover. I have NO idea what the heck that machine is doing but it sure does look badass! I found this in NYC a few months ago for a buck. Recently I ran into a pile of these in LA. They all had amazing covers of flying cars, rocket ships, and underwater cities BUT the guy wanted 20 bucks a piece for 'em. To quote Queen "...I'm just a poor boy, from a poor fam-ily. Because it's easy come. Easy Go. Little high. Little low. etc. etc."

  2. Looks like it's squirting water onto a red-hot hold in the top of a bunker. Maybe that's supposed to be gasoline? I just noticed it has screw-drive motivation. I've seen videos of machines using those way back.

Funny you posted this, as I just watched this video today of funny guy who build an RC fire truck that makes fires instead of putting them out. He did the same with a 6-legged robot and a Thomas the Tank Engine, because who wouldn't? :)

    3. Mehhhhh, I-I don't...I don't think so.

(actually it was. as was the above 'sentence'. I'm trying to type 'Larry David' I guess.)

    4. Now picture me studying your eyes for about 15 seconds to see if you're being truthful.

We just watched Curb for the first time starting a few months ago on Amazon, having never had HBO. I think we're getting close to the most recent season.
