Rod Serling...one of my favorites. I think it's so cool that there's what looks like a model of a B-17 on the far right of his desk; it's the type of plane he jumped out of during WWII.
There are two versions of "Patterns" out there, the original Kraft Theatre version starring Richard Kiley, and a theatrical version with Van Heflin. Both were directed by Fielder Cook, and both are well worth seeing. You could probably film it again today and it would give "Mad Men" a run for its money.
